WHAT WENT WELL:
As we had never completed a lip synch music video task before, the work that we produced was to a good standard. When we were sent away to complete this task, we were not entirely sure about how to approach it and how to get the best results, however after discussing it we decided to stand in front of the camera and lip synch with the music playing. This was because we had little confidence in front of the camera. The lighting that we used in our music video was effecitve because we situated the camera in the ideal position before filming. We each sang through the song each and then split it equally to swap the person who is on the screen to avoid viewer fatigue. This made it easier in the editing stage to match the lip movements with the music playing, making it look like a good music video.
EVEN BETTER IF:
As a group we could have altered the shot type on each of the characters on the screen. This also prevents viewer fatigue. Along with shot types we could have adapted the locations that we used to show us in a variety of rooms and surroundings to also avoid viewer fatigue. We filmed this preliminary task in school, so changing the characters on camera clothing would have been effective but is not really feasible. In my own opinion I could have been more confident in front of the camera and made sure that I put slightly more effort in to show that I was confident, even if I was not. To reduce viewer fatugue we could have varied the shot speed and shot types, making it more interesting for the viewer to watch and take note of.
